Well, sort of! We weren't racing each other but there were some fun times had on our Segway tour of DC. For those of you who don't know, Segways are 2 wheeled, electric, people movers that are controlled by shifting your body weight forward or backward. Check out the Video: Fi learning the SegwayThe Sparkellys and the Inalds embarked on a 3 hour tour of DC's sights, with plenty of space to unleash the fury of the Segways which had a top speed of 12 1/2 miles per hour! This is definitely the way to see DC.

We're off to throw a few essentials in a backpack for our trip to NYC tomorrow!

Well you would have had much more fun in Kangaroo Valley on my birthday weekend wizzing down McPhales track...well maybe...okay maybe not...

Just a shame we don't have footage of the spectacular 360 degreer that Scott pulled towards the end of the tour - more by accident than design! Even the tour guide was forced to turn around to see what the screech of tyres was all about! It WAS fun though and while Fi's face showed 110% concentration, we think she really did enjoy it.
Maybe we can import some segways to sunny Canberra and start a thriving tourist venue on Anzac Parade! Betty Who?
