We made the 2.5 hour drive to Pennsylvania this morning with our lovely driver, Dee. Scotty wasn’t exactly excited about the trip but perked up a bit when we had a tour of an Amish village and got to see all the quirks and the very conservative ways of the people. It was a sight to see cars lined up behind the Amish horses and buggies along main roads through the town.
The highlight of the day was a buffet lunch at an Amish restaurant. All food is made at the restaurant and is so much better than Sizzler! About 20 hot foods to choose from as well as a salad bar and a dessert bar with no less than 10 types of pie, two flavours of soft serve and many puddings that we had never heard of before.
Needless to say, we all spent the drive home feeling a little uncomfortable and not needing much of a dinner tonight.
Last night was a treat too; dinner at a local Italian restaurant with the Inalds, Sparkellys and Steve & Gi Gi, friends of Scotty’s from cycling.

Doesn't one of your sisters live in an Amish style visit like that? ;)
Hmmm Cornerstone has nothing on the Amish! You guys help people, don't shun your family, and it's not too hard to see why you like living at Cornerstone!
Scotty, was it you that took the photo of the amish sheep when you were in intercourse?......it's just that it looks a little nervous?
